32 Weeks Pregnancy Update
Baby’s gender:
Boy
Baby’s size:
Baby weighs 3 3/4 pounds (about the size of a jicama) and is about 16.7 inches long.
*You’re gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to your baby. In fact, he’ll gain a third to half of his birth weight during the next 7 weeks as he fattens up for survival outside the womb.
Baby’s development:
He now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz).
His skin is becoming soft and smooth as he plumps up in preparation for birth.
My weight gain:
24 lbs
Craving:
Potatoes; any and all, hashbrowns, french fries, mashed with gravy, mmm! Oh my goodness, I need some.
Feeling:
Nervous; more nervous now than before because I can’t stop wondering how my life will change. When I jump in the car to race to the store really quick I remind myself that I won’t be able to do that once the baby is here. I also think about how everything could take twice as long to do if he’s upset or crying. I worry about time management and keeping my life on track. It’ll be adventure but I am hoping I can transition into the change easily. Fingers crossed!
Things of Note:
Strangely, my left hand has really started to bother me. I woke up one morning and it felt like I had slept with it kinked. It hurt throughout the day and when I went to sleep that night I tried to stay conscious of how I held it while I slept. I woke up with it still sore so now I’ve decided to keep it wrapped in an ace bandage to see if that will help. It’s now day three and I am hoping it’s a pregnancy related thing.
Random people have started asking me when I am due and then they ask if I know the gender.
I turned a corner one day at work, wearing this dress, and a woman told me I looked like an angel, hahaha! I got a good laugh out of that one.

I just followed a pinterest link about braids, but saw your update about your wrist feeling funny, and wanted to share another idea. I developed carpal tunnel with both of my first two pregnancies. With the first one, I got a wrist brace and wore it at night, and that was enough to keep it under control. I couldn’t find the brace the second time around for about a week, and it was like I missed that window and it kept getting worse and worse. So I hope the ace bandage helps, but you might want to look into getting a brace as well. Pregnancy carpal tunnel is the worst because the doctors won’t (can’t) do anything to help, and it makes every little thing agony. I’m 21 weeks now, and I’m hoping a girl pregnancy will be different than the boys. ;) Good luck! And congratulations!!

Thank you for your input! I had another friend say something similar. I was actually thinking of getting a brace instead of using only a bandage. I may just cave and do it. Thanks again!

Can we talk about how you did your hair in this picture?!? So gorgeous!! I like the teased front section a lot! I’m all about volume.

Haha, thanks so much! If you let your hair dry on one side then switch sides for your braid it will naturally create that volume at the top! ((:

What type of braid is on the top portion? It looks like a fishtail, but I can’t tell for sure!
