Pregnancy Announcement and 18 Weeks Update
AJ and I are excited to announce a new addition to our family!
Here are a few details about the pregnancy so far.
How far along?
18 weeks
Baby’s size:
Bell pepper
Baby’s weight:
7 ounces
Baby names:
Undecided – but we call the baby “Himmer” for Him/Her
Weight gain:
10 lbs, about half a pound a week so far
Food cravings:
Water, random vegetables, salty foods, milk
During the first trimester, I could only stomach bland foods and ate many, many bowls of plain Cheerios and pieces of bread.
Dislikes:
Air fresheners, pastries, hairsprays
Quirks:
Super smell – I can smell random scents from very far away.
Feeling:
Super duper mega exhausted all.the.time.
Morning sickness:
Like clock-work around 10 or 11 AM and again between 2 and 3 PM; chewing a few crackers helps this subside within minutes
Random changes:
Mr. Gooch follows me around everywhere, everywhere. No matter what I am doing he’s right there watching me.
My face looked different for the first 2-3 months. I would look in the mirror and I just seemed different.
I have noticed more breakouts on my shoulders and back.
I currently carry all my weight up front and have gone up a pant size too.
I can’t bear to wear clothing that is too tight or anything with a seam unless it hits really high or low.
