22 Weeks and Gender Reveal Pregnancy Update
Baby’s gender:
BOY!!!
Baby’s size:
Spaghetti squash – 11 inches long
Baby’s weight:
almost 1 lb (I love this! I can’t even tell you how much!)
Baby’s development:
The lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and developing tiny tooth buds beneath the gums.
The eyes have formed, but the irises still lack pigment.
Fine hair (lanugo) covers the body and deep wrinkles on the skin, which will later fill in with fat.
The pancreas is developing steadily.
{I seriously love these little tidbits of information! I read them to AJ every week when I get the email. The info comes from BabyCenter.com and I also love using the MyPregnancy app}
My weight gain:
13 lbs
Feeling:
Super tired but more anxious to meet baby
Morning sickness:
Back again with a vengeance but luckily it only strikes occasionally so I always try to keep food in my stomach or crackers nearby.
Random changes:
I can’t even tell you how utterly exciting all of this is for me. It is literally the neatest thing I have every done and something I am so grateful to be able to experience. I think about the baby all the time, what he’ll look like, what his personality will be. I worry if he’ll be more of a crier, upset all the time, or collicky; whether he’ll be easy-going and friendly with everyone. It is all something I am looking forward to but am glad I have a few months beforehand to prepare myself for on a small level.

Hi Melissa!
I’m 21 weeks pregnant with my first and he’s a boy too! I completely relate to the morning sickness that you have experienced. I think mine finally went away at 18 weeks. I didn’t gain a pound until then, and now I’m gaining like crazy – but that’s what baby needs! Anyway, you look absolutely amazing and it’s fun to follow your blog any time, but especially now! Feel better soon, and keep enjoying this amazing experience!
Thanks for your comment, Loretta! It’s fun to know someone’s experiencing something similar! ((:
