French Lace Braid Updo

I have received so many requests for prom hairstyles and had my eye out for something extra pretty. I love how this updo has a gorgeous braid wrapping around it. If you are new to braiding then it can be a little trickier to do. It’s actually a french braid and lace braid combined together, wrapped around a chic bun. Double Fishtail Headband Braids

I can never get enough of combination hairstyles but this lovely ‘do is way easier than you might think. It’s created by braiding two separate inverted fishtail headband braids and then stretched out so the space between them is hidden. With the braids starting at the part and trailing across the forehead, it creates a gorgeous headband style. Braided Bun Updo

A sleek updo that would be perfect for prom or an upcoming wedding. This braided bun is created by sweeping the hair into a high ponytail first and sliding a hair donut over the top. Next, the ponytail is braided into four separate braids and strategically pinned around the donut to hide it. Using a donut helps give the hair some height without a lot of work. Fishtail Halo Braid

The Fishtail Halo braid is a combination of the Fishtail Crown braid and Half Up Crown braid. This half up version is especially lovely because fishtail braids are so on trend right now. It is the same technique as the half up style above and feels fancy with a few curls thrown in. I love this hairstyle because crown braids are some of my favorite to wear. Waterfall French Braid Messy Bun

This hairstyle is a spinoff from the Double Waterfall Braids Fishtail Bun from “12 Braids for Summer.” I love this braid because it looks complicated; the secret though is that it’s actually a waterfall and french braid thrown together. I’ve created a few different styles with this combination and always fall for how cool it looks in the end.
