What an incredible video. This is exactly what I was looking for. I don’t think it’s cheating to use hair extensions, in fact I’m glad to know that I don’t have to wait years and years for my hair to be long enough to do some of those complicated longer braids that you do. I actually had no idea you were using hair extensions before this. Thank you for sharing, this video was really helpful.

I love all of your videos! Thank you so much for posting everything about your extensions. I love to try your hairstyles on my own hair. I have the hardest time with the simplest one though! The messy bun! I can’t seem to get that look right. My hair isn’t as long as yours. It’s just right past my shoulders. Thanks again, love, love, love your hair! And your baby is very cute:)
Loved this post Missy!! I still have 2 follow up questions: 1 how did you make the transition from more blonde to less? I have been super blonde for several years and I’ve already started to add dark underneath rather than getting a full weave but I’m not sure how to do it on top near my part. 2 you mentioned putting the individual clips in during a braid style, how many do you use total and do you just follow the side of you head all the way up? You mentioned it in the video but I just want to make sure I understand! Thanks Missy!! You’re an inspiration!
Thanks, Andrea. 1) I stretched out my appointments for coloring my hair to 12 weeks apart and did half weaves each time. Then the third appointment was only putting in strips of dark blonde color and skipping the white/gold blonde highlights. I also completely stopped coloring the bottom portion of my hair and just let the natural come in; so only coloring from my ears up. 2) The number of clips varies, sometimes 4, sometimes 6 or all 8 if I want to get crazy. It just depends on how dramatic I want the hairstyle to look.
