Hair Care Products and Tips for Growing Long Hair features the items I use on a daily and weekly basis to keep my hair healthy and strong as I grow it out.
The video begins with the products I use while in the shower, what I use to combat frizz and natural waviness, my favorite heat protectant sprays, and other tips I suggest for getting hair the healthiest it can be even while using hot tools and daily styling.
I personally have watched a gazillion of these types of videos and usually they are similar in content because this is what truly works for growing out hair. It has been a loooong road for me personally and one I am still traveling. I plan to create a more final video when my hair reaches the desired dream length but I hope this helps you along your way to long, silky hair too.

I think you’ve mentioned this before…but what kind of extensions do you use? How long does it take to put them in? How are they to work with?
Hi Rachel, I currently use the Satin Strands extensions however I would not recommend them. It takes a few seconds to put them in and they are fine to work with though they shed a ton so that’s why I wouldn’t recommend them.
I need to follow these so I can grow mine out longer. ;) (I know it’s long, but I want more!) A friend gave me Redken’s Smooth Down Detangling Cream. I’m not a huge product person, and since my hair is so fine I don’t like ‘smoothing’ products, but that stuff really does the trick. Zero fly-aways, zero tangling, super easy to comb, brush, and dries straight naturally. Big plus since I also have a weird natural wave. (Of course, I try to enhance it most of the time, but when I want it smooth, this is the go-to stuff.)

Have you tried “Brite Lites” temporary hair color? It’s not chalk, is all natural and goes on smoothly by rubbing it directly on the hair! It’s so much easier and nicer then anything else I’ve found.
I am growing my hair out too, it is pretty long already, but I really like that tip of keeping it flat, letting the sides catch up. I may start doing that!
Thanks!
