Braid 6-Casual Sideswept French Braid was inspired by the famously cool Coachella festival. The event is always flooded with cool ensembles and chic braided hairstyles and cool flower crowns.
The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is an annual two-weekend, three-day music and arts festival held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, located in the Inland Empire’s Coachella Valley in the Colorado Desert.
I have never been lucky enough to attend Coachella but love browsing through all the different pictures of the event seeing the outfits and hairstyles people wear. This sideswept French braid is casual enough for such an event but chic enough for any day of the week too.
Follow these easy steps to achieve the style:
1 / Take a front piece of hair and sweep it back securing it with a pin.
2 / Separate a section of hair from the ear to the back of the head and begin a braid.
3 / Transition to a french braid, pulling in hair from the opposite side of the head.
4 / Leave the hair down in front that would be pulled in creating a lace braid effect.
5 / Once the braid reaches the shoulder, wrap a section of hair around the entire braid.
6 / Secure the strand with a pin.
7 / Add a flower clip or embellished pin at the top of the braid.
8 / Finish with hairspray; looking solid girlfriend.
