Braid 17-French Braid Tie Back is the newest version of Double Back Side Braids. A simplified version, held together with one little pin.

I always refer back to my older tutorials and try out new versions of those looks. Lately, I have been thinking maybe it is time to redo a few of those. Some go back as far as three years! What do you think? Would you like to see updated versions of some of my older tutorials?

It’s Braid 17 today! Can you believe it’s already almost over?!

Follow the steps below to achieve the look:

Step 1 / Take a section of hair on the heavy side of the part and divide it into three sections.

Step 2 / Begin a french braid pulling in hair from both sides.

Step 3 / Continue french braiding until it reaches an inch above the ear then continue in a regular braid.

Step 4 / Wrap the braid across the back of the head and secure it with a hair pin.

Step 5 / Next, take a section of hair on the right side of the head.

Step 6 / Wrap the strand over the braid and tuck it down through the braid.

The braid will hold the strand in place so that is how it only uses one hair pin. It is genius!
