Bushel Braid
To start this hairstyle, I’m going to first divide out a section of hair at my crown and tie it off with an elastic band.
Then I’m going to clip this section out of the way.
Now I’m going to divide out a new section of hair from above my ears and tie this together. With a second elastic underneath the first one.
Now I’m going to let down the ponytail clipped away.
Divide off a small section of hair and drop it down next to the second ponytail.
And I’m going to divide out a small section from the second 20 tail and hold it in my left hand.
Then I’m going to divide up a new section from the top ponytail and drop it down.
Then I’m taking a small section from the bottom ponytail holding it in my left hand.
Then I’m taking a small section from the top ponytail and dropping it down.
Then I’m going to take a small section from the bottom ponytail and hold it in my left hand.
And I’m just going to repeat this pattern alternating small sections of hair between the top and bottom ponytails, keeping the sections from the bottom ponytail in my left hand while dropping down the hair from the top ponytail.
once the two ponytails are divided up into small alternating sections. I’m going to take the hair I was holding in my left hand and click this out of the way.
Now I’m going to divide out a new section of hair from behind my ears. Combine it with the hair divided out from the first ponytail and tie it together with an elastic band.
Now I’m going to let my hair clipped away, go back over the first loop and pull on the edges to make it fuller.
Now I’m going to repeat those same steps with the two new sections of hair, dividing them into small sections, alternating the top hair with the bottom while holding the hair from the second ponytail in my left hand.
Once all of the hair is divided up into sections. Then I’m going to clip away the hair from the bottom ponytail. Pick up the rest of the hair and tie it together with the hair from the top ponytail.
Then I’m going to let on the hair that was clipped away. Go back over the second section of hair pulling on the edges to make it fuller.
I’m just going to repeat those steps two more times creating two more sections of the braid.
When doing this hairstyle you can create as many sections of the braid as you’d like. I went ahead and did four sections based on the length of my hair.
Once I’ve finished all of the sections, I’m going to spray the style with hairspray and smooth down flyaways.
Waterfall French Braid
I’m going to start by picking up a section of hair at the center of my forehead and divided into three pieces for the braid.
I’m going to begin a French braid. I’m going to cross the right strand over the middle then cross the left strand over the middle. Now I’m going to cross the right strand over the middle pick up a new section and cross it over and into the middle strand.
Then I’m crossing the left strand over the middle picking up a new section and crossing it over and into the middle strand.
Now I’m going to begin waterfall in the side strands. So I’m going to drop down the right strand. Pick up a new section from right behind it and crosses over the middle strand in place of the dropped piece. Then I’m going to drop down the left strand, pick up a new section from right behind it and cross it over and into the middle strand in its place.
So once more I’m going to drop down the right strand. Pick up a new section of hair right behind the dropped piece and cross it over the middle strand into the braid.
Then I’m going to drop down my left strand, pick up a new section and cross it over the middle strand in place of the dropped piece.
I’m just going to repeat those steps continuing the braid down the center of the back of my head until the braid reaches the nape of my neck.
Once the braid reaches the nape on my neck, I’m going to slide a bobby pin over the right side of the braid so it doesn’t unravel.
Now I’m going to pick up a section of hair on the right side of my head and divid it into three pieces for the Dutch braid.
I’m going to cross the left strand under the middle strand and then cross the right under the middle strand.
Then I’m going to cross the left strand under the middle pick up the first waterfall piece and cross it underneath the middle strand.
Then I’m going to cross the restaurant under the middle, pick up a new section and cross it entered into the middle strand as well.
I’m just going to continue the Dutch braid adding in the waterfall strands to the left side of the braid and sections from along the hairline on the right side until all of the hair on this side is brought into the braid.
Once the breed reaches the nape of my neck, I’m going to tie up the bottom of the braid with a clear elastic band.
Now I’m going to repeat those same steps and create a second edge braid with the hair on the left side of my head, adding the waterfall pieces into the right side of the braid and hair from along the hairline to the left side of the braid until all of the hair is brought into the braid.
Then once the braid reaches the nape of my neck, I’m going to tap the end of the braid with the clear elastic band.
Now I’m going to go back over the braids and pull on the edges just to make them a little bit bigger
I’m just going to wrap a small section of hair around each elastic and secured underneath with a bobby pin.
Infinity Braid
I’m going to divide out a small section of hair at the back of my head. This is going to be my wrapping piece and I’m going to divide out another section on the right side and this is going to be my right section. So with my wrapping piece, I’m just going to wrap this clockwise around the right section of hair, bringing it back to the left side of the section.
Then I’m going to pick up a new section of hair on the left side and this is going to be my left section.
I’m just going to take my wrapping piece and wrap this counterclockwise around the left section so it’s back between the two sections.
Now I’m going to pick up a new section of hair and add it into the right section. Then I’m going to take my wrapping piece and wrap it clockwise around the right section.
Then I’m going to pick up a new section of hair and add it into the left section. Then I’m going to wrap the left section counterclockwise with the wrapping piece
I’m going to add a new section into the right section and wrap it clockwise with the wrapping piece.
Then I’m going to add a new section into the left side and wrap it counterclockwise with the wrapping piece.
So the left and right sections are always staying in the same place. The wrapping piece is always in between the two sections.
I’m going to bring in a new section and pair into each side before wrapping them with the middle wrapping piece, which is actually forming an infinity symbol around the two sections.
As you’re braiding, you want to make sure to keep the wrapping piece really tight around the two sections to avoid getting any gaps in the braid. If the wrapping piece starts to feel too thin or short, you can pick up a new section. I’m just going to repeat those in the braid, adding in sides strands until the braid reaches the top of my ears.
Once I’ve done a few stitches of the braid and the hair is brought in from above my ears, I’m going to reverse the braid and start taking small sections out instead of adding them in.
I’m going to divide off a small piece of hair from the right side. Then I’m going to wrap the section with the wrapping piece of working in the same direction as before.
Then I’m going to divide off a small piece from the left section and then wrap the left section counterclockwise with the wrapping piece
Once more, I’m dividing up a small piece from the right side then I’m going to wrap it with the wrapping piece in a clockwise pattern.
Then I’m dividing off a small piece from the left side and then I’m going to wrap it counterclockwise with the wrapping piece.
I’m just going to repeat those steps taking out small pieces of hair from each side. Continuing to wrap them in the Infinity pattern, until the side sections become too small to split.
Now I’m just going to take a clear elastic band and wrap it over the bottom of the braid to hold it in place.
Thank you so much for watching. Make sure to let me know in the comment section which of the three hairstyles is your favorite and if you plan on trying them out.
