Braid 3-Half Up Crown Braids is the perfect style for summer!

I recently wore this same look in this outfit post but pulled the front pieces up so they were out of the way.

This hairstyle literally takes seconds to do and only requires a little braiding skill. If you are new to braiding, watch this quick video that will teach you how to braid in a matter of minutes; How to Braid!

There isn’t a video tutorial for this braid but here are the steps to learn how it is done.

Step 1 / Take a 1 inch section of hair that is about an inch back from the hairline.

Step 2/ Braid this strand down to the end and tie it off with an elastic. Hint! Wrap each strand under (instead of over) the middle to create an upside down braid. This helps it lay better against the ‘noggin.

Step 3 / Create a second braid right behind the first one and tie it off as well.

Step 4 / Repeat steps 2 and 3 above with the other side of the head.

Step 5 / Wrap all the braids to the back of the head and slide in two pins, in an X formation, then remove the clear elastic bands.
