When I was in second grade I walked out of the bathroom stall and started washing my hands next to a girl in my class. She had two bobby pins in her mouth and was twisting her hair up into some kind of twist. I sat there and watched her in awe as she pinned it in place. I asked what it was called and she told me “a french twist” and that her mother had taught her how to do it. I couldn’t believe it and I’ve never forgotten it but I’ll confess, this was my first time ever wearing one myself. I hope you enjoy it!
