On days when I don’t want to use heat on my hair I naturally gather it all in one hand and brush it over my shoulder. Where this tendency came from I’ll never know but keeping it over one shoulder can be a tough feat. With this pretty mini braid, however, it easily keeps the hair swept to one side and adds a bit of flair as well.

The braid is an upside down french braid (or dutch braid) and begins just over the left ear. It trails down to the nape of the neck and across the back, following the bottom hairline. Secured with an elastic it stays in place with the rest of the hair brushed over the right shoulder and looks chic on days you want to add a bit of pizzaz without using heat.
