Plaid is one of the universal signs of Fall. It spurs memories of camping, roasting marshmallows around a fire, and being outdoors. Plaid can seem difficult to wear, however, when there is a fear of channeling too much of a lumberjack vibe. I have had my eye out for one that falters on the feminine side and love that this one sports a pink and navy combo which are two of my favorite colors.
When putting an outfit together, pairing plaid with a skirt boasts a dressier style to the ensemble. Wearing it with colored jeans will give the look a trendier quality. If you’re hesitant about wearing plaid, layering a sweater over it will feature only accents of the style and layering a vest over plaid also tones down the design but still gives a pop of pattern.
