Makes about 3 gallons
[I halved the recipe and it filled the pitcher above + one tall glass]
Ingredients:
6 cups water
3 1/2 cups of sugar
2 small lemon gelatin packets
1 can (64 oz) of pineapple juice
1 quart of orange juice
5 oz of real lemon juice
4 cans of sprite
Directions:
Place the water and sugar in a saucepan and boil on high for 3 minutes or until combined.
Next, pour it into a large bowl and add the gelatin packets. Then combine the pineapple juice, orange juice, and lemon juice.
Mix in the sprite right before serving.

I strolled into the kitchen, pressed my hands against the edge of the stove, leaned down and thought to myself, “I don’t want to turn this on.” I had to come up with a new recipe to post and it was just too darn hot to even think about baking something. My best friend turned against me in the 100+ degree heat. I stood up straight and stared into its green digital eyes. It was nearly 3:00 PM in the afternoon and I had nothing. As I stood there contemplating the meaning of life all I could think about was a cold glass of ice water. Then it hit me. Juice.
It’s cool. It’s refreshing. It’s easy. Done deal.
I pulled out my mom’s ancient cook book that held all her hand written recipes. The pages were falling out, the edges soaked in spilled butter, the cover torn off. Tried and true I knew this little book wouldn’t let me down. I carefully thumbed through each page hoping for a refreshing recipe when I came across this:
“Wedding” Pineapple Punch
Psh! No wedding here; oh no my friends, but the juice beckoned to me. I needed it bad. I scrolled through the ingredients. I’d have to turn on the stove for 3 minutes to combine the sugar and water. Meh, easy enough.
I whipped it up in no time flat and shared the spoils with the crew in the house.
Man oh man, it hit the spot.
