I’m not gonna lie, I was really afraid to wear teal eyeshadow. I bought one about a year ago and tried to wear it but always washed it off afterwards. I’ve done this same look two different ways and finally decided this was the one I was the most comfortable with.
The teal shows just slightly enough that it complements my eye color without overwhelming my entire eye area. I really do enjoy doing eye shadow tutorials but sometimes feel that I don’t have the best eye shape for them since a lot of my lid is hidden when I open my eyes.
I watch eye shadow tutorials fairly often and notice that there aren’t a lot of beauty gurus with my same eye shape so I have to improvise when I’m following their tutorials. As a result though, I have literally started noticing the eye shapes of everyone I meet and usually sit and analyze how I would put eye shadow on them if I needed to. The biggest thing I’ve noticed is how many people actually do have a similar eye shape to mine, meaning a small sliver of the lid by the eyelashes and then the brow bone and highlight area. I think that was the push I needed to finally do this look because I am hoping there a few people out there who really could benefit from this tutorial.
I hope you enjoy it!
i love this look.
same here i bought this pretty teal eye shadow a while ago because i just looooved the color but happened to just wear it as a tiny pop of color on the lower lash line, never on my entire lid. definitely going to try your tutorial.
That is absolutely gorgeous! I need to be adventurous and try more color.
Yay! I love it! Thanks so much. :)
beautiful. i love the teal one!
My eyes are the exact same shape as yours so I really appreciate your tutorials. I like using spunky eyeshadows as eyeliner too so it’s not overwhelming( since you can’t see most of my lid anyway), but still hints at sassy eyes.
I enjoy your eye shadow tutorials specifically because of your eye shape. I haven’t searched far and wide, but I find your tutorials the most helpful. And, that last picture of your eyes is gorgeous!
