We went up to Pineview Reservoir over the weekend and I seriously found my place in the world. Being outside on a sandy beach, playing games, and eating chips is my happy place. I could have stayed out there forever if I hadn’t left my sweatshirt in the car.

I don’t know if it’s the being outside or the complete feeling of relaxation but that lake did me in. We showed up just a few hours before sunset, laid out a blanket, and brought along our homemade root beer.

Gucci and Max had a time of it chasing each other around until they were both exhausted, getting sand in the water cups, and digging holes like mad men.

We played  a new card game called Spot It that I would highly recommend. I’m considering buying our own set of the game; it was seriously so much fun. I think the other group way on the other side of the beach could hear me shouting out the matches, “Heart! Yessss!”

It was too chilly to swim which was a complete bummer but we’ve all agreed to make the trip up again once summer has fully set in and we can all enjoy the heat and cold water. It’ll be such a blast. I’m already getting so pumped for it.
