All Black is my jam.

I used to only wear black clothes; all the time, erryday. I didn’t think it was a problem until friends and colleagues started pointing it out to other people. Whether it was just my shirt and shoes or an all black ensemble, it simply felt safe. An easy combo that took seconds to throw on in the mornings.

Since then I have, of course, been trying to abstain from purchasing and wearing black clothing; now opting for colorful brights instead. When I do throw together an all black getup I immediately feel guilty for slipping so easily back into an old habit. I almost feel weird now when I wear black and have to force myself to choose a yellow or pink top instead.

It is what it is though and there will always be a special place in my heart for all black ensembles.
