It is hard to believe that denim did not become fashionable until the 1970’s. It is such a staple in every closet that it would seem it has been around since the beginning of time. Such as it is with every style or trend, however, denim too had its start.

Denim pairs well with nearly everything and in more ways than imaginable. They can be dressed up or down and completely interchangeable when either dressing for the office, a night out, or lounging around the house. They also come in such a wide assortment of washes and shades that pairing denim with denim is now a completely acceptable expression of style.

My personal favorite is a denim button up shirt paired with a patterned skirt or dress, or a denim jacket with jeans like above.
