The first time I saw this skirt I absolutely, 100% fell in love with the fabric. My friends all think I’m crazy because I will pass on a piece of clothing if I rub it between my fingers and it just doesn’t feel right. This skirt is slinky and heavy and swishes and flows so perfectly that I knew it would be a great fabric to own.

The pattern, on the other hand, is a completely different story. It seemed too flashy for my comfort zone and I was convinced I couldn’t pull it off. My friend, however, insisted I needed it and since I trust her judgement, carried it around, weighing it over in my mind. Finally, I decided to bite the bullet and purchase it. I told myself I would wear it at least once because I knew I needed to branch out and wear more than just neutral shades. Turns out, this skirt is so fun to wear that now I wish could find it in every color.
