I have been wanting to do this video ever since I saw it pop up on Youtube. The battle wasn’t filming the video, however, it was my accomplice who had to sit through it, slapping makeup randomly on my face. AJ is a great sport, as husbands usually are, but whenever I poked around the idea he always laughed it off and I let it slide.

As I leaned against the wall in my room, gazing at my camera set up on the tripod, I knew it was the video I needed to make that day. I skipped down the hallway, snuck into our bedroom, and knelt down next to the bed where AJ was napping. I stroked his hair and told him how beautiful he looked lying in bed so peacefully, his hair perfectly brown, the sheets complimenting the complexion of his skin. I gently kissed his cheek and asked him if he could help me with something. Being as wonderful as he is, rolled out of bed, and meandered toward the video camera like a true warrior.

This video was seriously so fun to make. I was scared out of my mind when he came at me wielding the makeup brush, slopped with foundation but it was worth it. If you’re ever sitting at home, at a loss for what to do on a Friday night, pull out that makeup bag, and let him get to work. It’s a true party, video style.
