We are heading out to San Francisco today and I couldn’t be more excited. I’ve never ever been before and AJ has a brother who lives there and a sister who lives only an hour away. We are planning to visit them while we are there and squeeze in as much site seeing as humanly possible. I am anxious to see the Golden Gate bridge and rent bicycles to explore Sausalito. Not to mention I hear the food is absolutely amazing!
It seems as though a lot of other people (bloggers) have visited the area recently so I that has given me a lot of ideas for our own San Francisco venturing. I am so glad that we decided to go for it and agree on this as our family trip this summer.
AJ mentioned that a coworker said the weather is extremely unpredictable and you can’t ever trust the weatherman. I am already thinking about what I want to pack and don’t want to make the same mistake I did when we went to St. George packing too much stuff. We’re going to be there for an entire week so that normally means a pretty hefty suitcase (at least for me) so I am packing a jacket for sure but also thinking of a few key pieces that can be mixed and matched so there is a variety but not too much to carry.
Have you ever been to San Francisco?
Do you have any suggestions for things we “must-see” while we’re there?

I went to San Fransisco in 2006 and of course the Golden Gate Bridge is a must, but I also enjoyed the Golden Gate Park and the piers. Alcatraz would be really interesting too, unfortunately I never got tickets. I hear you should book in advance.
