I am helplessly craving some really yummy granola right about now. I think granola is so perfect when it’s cold outside and winter has set in. One year for Christmas, each of my family members got their own bag of granola. It was one of the best things I think Santa ever gave me. The moment I saw it I wanted to forget about the rest of the unwrapped gifts and go pour myself a bowl of it. I knew my bag would be one of the first ones empty and I savored every minute of it’s goodness.
Wouldn’t it be so gorgeous to give as a gift this year? I am seriously considering it.

Cinnamon Granola Recipe

add to large bowl:

2 cups rolled oats
2 cups rolled wheat (found in the bulk section of health food stores. you could also use more rolled oats or rolled rye)
2 cups puffed wheat (unsweetened)
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup chopped almonds
1/2 cup ground flax seed
1/2 cup wheat germ
3/4 c pure maple syrup (not the fake stuff)
1/3 c coconut oil, in liquid form
2 tsp vanilla
2 tsp cinnamon
pinch of salt
mix all ingredients until well coated.
Spread out onto two lined baking sheets, and bake at 300° for 30-45°, until oats are browned and crispy.
Make sure to rotate the pans and give them a few good shakes during the baking process.

My go-to lip color without fail has always been chapstick. I know, I haven’t ever really been brave enough to explore lipstick. For starters, they usually have a very distinct smell that I can’t get past. However, these lovely lip colors, two being glosses, smell and taste lovely. With the Christmas season rolling in I really wanted to try the dreaded red lipstick. So many people wear it so I figured I really ought to just give it a try, right? What do you think?
What’s your favorite go-to lip color?

I literally walked upstairs in this outfit laughing so hard because these jeans are too big. They’re a whole size too big and I can pull them clean off without unbuttoning them. I even safety pinned the hems back so they’d be tighter around my ankles. I wore them because her jeans look baggy and I couldn’t find baggy jeans without going up a size. Is that weird?

I do love this shirt. It’s Diesel from Downeast and thought I’d hit the jackpot when I bought it. I realize my lighting is so horrendous you can’t even see the details but it buttons up the front and has a tie around the waste. It was the closest thing I owned to her lovely tie shirt. These boots are Steve Madden ankle boots and I love them. I don’t wear them often enough so I thought I’d throw them in here.

Next time I’ll take my pics in the morning so hopefully the detailing will be easier to see.

Opinions? Would you copy this outfit?

This is called the blank stare. Quite honestly I didn’t know where to look and in the moment it’s hard to copy this particular stance as the timer is ticking down since I’m not really walking. *Ahem, back to the outfit. I would actually wear this outfit out and about. I realize I failed in the hair category but I just didn’t want to redo it. Also I know the blurry-ness that is this photo and I apologize. It was late and I should’ve taken it with natural light. In case you wanna know: H&M scarf, Primark shirt; Kohls leggings, Bag from Ross; chocolate TOMS.
How’d I do?  Would you wear this outfit?

I love this outfit mainly because I love these pants. These are my harem pants. They are the epitomy of fashion/style that men hate and I couldn’t even care less because I love their looseness, tight legs, and baggy crotch. Yes, these are those pants.

For anyone lost, I wore these to a movie once and AJ wanted to sneak in a soda [*gasp! yes, we’re those people] and I made the comment that I could hide it in my crotch. Totally dirty and inappropriate out of the proper context but these pants have a low center of gravity if you get my drift. They’re totally weird and outrageous and I love them. On our trip to England I was searching for a great pair and was lucky enough to find these bad boys at TopShop in Cambridge. Yep.

So on to other news, yes I realize it’s more black. I warned you in the last copycat. But in all fairness my jacket is navy, from H&M to be exact and I had to have matching shoes. My bag is black because it’s the only one I own that can sling across my shoulders in such a way. Both shoes and bag are from Ross, [my secret lover, shhh, hottie man ross, mm!].

But yes I would wear this outfit outside in public. I have in fact, well okay with a jean jacket and black flipflops actually. I do have pleated pants like the model does but I hate them because somehow they magically became like 2 sizes too large or whatever so I want to burn them now [not really] because that money is now wasted. Anyone want some pleated pants?

What do you think? Would you wear this?
