bare-minerals-rescue-ultaSummer is right around the corner (May is almost over!) and with that comes days at the beach, lounging poolside and sunny, hot days. I recently picked up Complexion Rescue by Bare Minerals and have been using it every single day, literally dying over here to share with you this fabulous new Summer makeup must-have.

ulta-bare-minerals-rescue-creamAll through the heat of the summer I love keeping my makeup light and airy and this tinted moisturizer is a skin lifesaver! I have the driest of dry skin and finding a great makeup base is always a struggle. Not only is this gel cream moisturizing, but it also provides anti-aging sun protections (SPF 30!), double yes please!

bare-minerals-complexion-rescue-review-beautyIn a few words, this tinted moisturizer is wonderful for normal to dry skin and applies a satin-like dewy finish leaving you with a healthy glow. It’s light, natural looking coverage is perfect through the warmer months and even better if you prefer a sheer, translucent coverage for already-great skin.

bare-minerals-complexion-rescueEven during the colder months of the year I still love to apply a tinted moisturizer underneath my regular foundation for a little extra layer of hydration. If you have combination or oily skin, it might be a little too moisturizing but nothing a bit of powder can’t combat in those shine-prone zones.

complexion-rescue-bare-minerals-reviewIt comes in a wide range of 10 different shades, so you can use it all year round, even after that tan fades. To achieve a layer of sheer coverage, I buffed a quarter-sized amount of Complexion Rescue onto my face with a flat top foundation brush in swift, circular motions. If I need a little extra coverage under my eyes or on a blemish, I dab a dot on top with my finger. I loved how quickly I could see a difference in my skin, less dull and more luminous. A makeup must-have all year round!

mothers-day-with-cohenMy entire world changed when little Cohen came into our lives. It’s been such a sweet experience seeing him grow and develop, changing so fast! I sometimes wish there was a way to slow it all down but it only gets better and better with each passing day. I love being his mom, being his #1, day in and day out and I wouldn’t change it. me-and-cohen-new-orleans With that of course, some days getting ready means throwing on a favorite sweatshirt and brushing my teeth. Other days, it means letting him play in my makeup drawers to catch a few minutes to apply some makeup. Motherhood can be a unique personal transformation. Sometimes I feel like a complete baggy-eyed zombie and other times I feel unexpectedly more feminine and womanly than I ever have before. cohen-hat-hawaii Most of the time I would rather forego applying makeup and curling my hair in order to spend more time with Cohen. That being said, it’s still very important for us as mother’s to continue to take care of ourselves. I love doing everything with Cohen and that even means when I need to get ready for the day or take an evening bath. I love playing in the tub while washing away the day and he loves having all of my attention just to himself. cohen-me-hawaii-hotel Taking care of my hair is a vital component to one of my daily passions, creating and providing hair tutorials here on Missy Sue. Being a ‘hair blogger’ I am always on the hunt for that miracle product. Moisturizing, hydrating, invigorating, the holy grail of products. When I discovered Garnier® Whole Blends™ I was so pleased to discover how perfect it was for my beauty routine. It helps keep my hair in the best condition it can be so I feel confident knowing that I can help provide for my family and still feel beautiful everyday. how-to-curl-your-hairSince my hair has been so dry and frizzy lately, thanks to the weather here in Mississippi, I’ve started using the Garnier® Whole Blends™ Smoothing line with Coconut Oil and Cocoa Butter extracts. I could immediately tell how much my hair had improved, it was hydrated and smelled so great. On days when I am too busy to style my hair I love letting it air dry. With these products I noticed that after using the shampoo and conditioner, my hair would dry in nice, soft waves because it was so hydrated. Exactly what I have been looking for! garnier-whole-blends

Whole Blends™ offers great haircare that is both gentle and nourishing and I am a big fan of the line from Garnier®. They design hair care, skincare, and even hair color that really works so I can focus more on time with Cohen and not have to worry about the little things when it comes to my daily beauty routine.
