I literally cannot wait for Spring to get here. The temps here in Mississippi have been fluctuating between the 50’s and 60’s and often times it feels sooo warm when we head outside for our walk. I actually wore this look before we moved here and it got too chilly in Utah. I have been reorganizing all of the files on my computer and found this set of pics that I completely forgot to post. Given the warm weather lately it seemed like the perfect fit!neutrals-10

A pair of black jeans and oversized sweater is a great staple ensemble but taking a few extra steps to add a pair of contrasting boots, seasonal scarf, and headband braid can really help elevate an otherwise basic look. I love the cooler weather right now because it’s the perfect opportunity to throw on that one extra layer to add a bit of pattern and texture to a simple, staple outfit.

They are so easy to throw on and go and usually fit easily underneath a heavy winter coat once it starts to snow. Herringbone has been such a popular print lately that I couldn’t wait to add one to my closet. This will definitely be a staple every year during the Fall and Winter months.  View Post

Over the weekend we moved to the South, Mississippi to be specific. It is a complete culture shock and climate change from Utah, where we previously lived. In just a few short days, we went from snow and freezing temps to humidity and long sleeve weather. Having an assortment of cardigans that I can throw on and go has become my daily uniform. Winter White

Wearing white after Labor Day can seem tricky but is easy to do when it’s worn with similar shades. Pairing white denim with neutral colors like light pink, cream, and beige softens the whites so the different shades come together seeming effortless. View Post

Layering up your favorite basics is a great way to add warmth when you don’t want to haul around a heavy coat. I recently wore this outfit out to dinner and while I love wearing vests during the fall and winter months, find them uncomfortable underneath a winter jacket. Pairing thinner layers underneath warmer pieces is a great way to layer up without feeling too bulky. View Post

One of my favorite things is mixing patterns. Of course, I always play it safe with more obvious options but a striped shirt and buffalo check vest is such a great combination for the Fall. I also love that the blue from the shirt matches the navy hunter boots while the black skinny jeans coincide with the colors in the vest. Throw in…  View Post
